Your chosen trail for 2019 - The Gloucestershire Way (100 miles) will start from Chepstow Castle in Wales and finish at Tewkesbury. There are 9 sections between March to October, each walk will be between 9-12 miles with one section 13 miles. Bus transport meeting point will be at the Countryside Centre at 8:30am with an estimate return about 5:15pm. Booking details will follow in the New Year.
2020 - YOU DECIDE
For those members who were not able to attend the AGM on the 3rd November you still have the opportunity to choose your preferred trail for 2020 from the following options.
OPTION 1 Heart of England Way (101 miles) - 8 sections of between 10-13 miles with one short section of 8 miles and one long section of 15 miles. Walk through the Midlands of England; the walk starts from Milford Common on Cannock Chase and finishes at Bourton on the Water in the Cotswolds. We pass through the counties of Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire.
OPTION 2 Diamond Way (66 miles) - a imaginative and scenic route created to celebrate the 60th Jubilee in 1995 in the Cotswolds. Stretches from Northleach in the south to Chipping Campden in the north, Guiting Power in the west to Bourton on the Water in the east.
OPTION 3 Wychavon Way (40 miles) - A repeat of the trail done in 2014 over 4 sections. Starting at Droitwich Spa and ending in Broadway, passing through the Lenches, Fladbury, Wyre Piddle, Pershore and Bredon Hill.
OPTION 4 Worcestershire Way (31 miles) - Over 3 sections starting along the River Severn in the Georgian town of Bewdley and finishing in the Victorian spa town of Great Malvern. We visit the hills of Abberley, Ankerdine and the Malverns
